Lonely planet has named kerala as one of the worlds 10 best destinations for taking the family along for a holiday in 2014

The lonely planet award for the best family destination was bestowed on gods own country at the world travelmart held in London.

Kerala joined the likes of newyork city,Denmark prague Iceland,Italy  in being described by the travel expert as a child friendly destination ideal for the family

Kerala is a family friendly destination more laid back than other regions greener slowpaced.There are also lots of national parks for elephant spotting, palm fringed beaches and boat trips along the lush canals of backwaters.It said the palm fringed paradise of a place amoung the first 30 of the 100 top best value index around the globe according to survey by travel search engine Trivago.

Along with varkala, munnar also found a place in the chart at the 60 th position. Nashik has been voted as the best tourist friendly of the country this year where a nights stay costs the travelers RS 5665/-varkala beach also known as papanasam seaside located between alapuzha and kovalam in kerala has been the paradise of photography lovers for a while.It is the only place in south kerala where cliffs are found adjacent to the arabian sea.
