Campsite with view of Flat Tops

Camped in the scrub above the Colorado river. Nigh hike among the dry gulches, pinyon and juniper until it was too dark for safe footing. Deer country, where there are deer there are cougars, worried for a minute about ambush attack on the stumble back. Stars bright, crisp in cold night air. The morning view of Flat Tops wilderness area made rough night sleep worthwhile. Derby creek drainage to north.
