History of Our Name
Everything has a story, here’s the tale of our humble beginning. There was a little pony tail, maybe two inches long at the base of the nape of the neck, and a Scooby Doo scraggle of beard. It took a long muddy walk to get there and luck not to stub the toes on an old axle. The two story school bus hadn’t been built, the teepee from Christo’s bright orange curtain leaked in the rain. Rubber cement at first, then a waxer for linotype. Square to the faint blue lines went everything. Ad sales covered enough to break even and fill a VW bug. Drawings that didn’t count, photos of tough guys, stories about millionaires, mystically inspired horoscopes all built by a close circle. Distribution to a credulous audience, some more so. Fun while it lasted but salesmen are born, not made, everyone can’t be an artist, nothing lasts forever but the rocks and trees.
But what goes around comes around and everything old is new again. Hide and watch. Oh, and the history of the name, it fits.
