Pakistan Day observed with great zeal in Khyber

LANDIKOTAL: Like the other parts of the country, Yaum-e-Pakistan was celebrated with great zeal in Landikotal and Jamrud tehsils of Khyber Agency.

A colorful event was organized in Army garrison in Landikotal where a large number of army officials,local elders and students of different schools were present.
Commandent Khyber Rifles, lieutenant Col-Kamal Mazari was the chief guest who along with students offered special prayers for the Army Public School and Collage martyrs.He also placed floralwreth on the martyrs’ memorial.

Col-Kamal Mazari praised the role played by tribal people in the creation of Pakistan.He said everyone should devote their efforts for the development of Pakistan.

Meanwhile,23rd March was also celebrated in Jamrud administration office where Political Agent Khyber Agency,Lieutenant Colonel Saddiq,local elders and Kukikhel residents participated.

Col,Sadiq said that tribal people were patriotic and always defended the boundaries of the country.He said Pakistan came into existence after long struggle and live sacrifices.

PA Sayed Shahab Ali Shah distributed cash prizes among the children who played national anthems and tablous.

Khyber Agency education office also organized 23rd March celebrations at government higher secondary school in Jamrud.Hundreds of schools’ students,teachers,MNA Shahji Gul Afridi and Agency Education Officer(AEO) Attiqur rehman participated.
