Shoot Low, She’s Riding A Shetland

Not everyone can be a hot dog, some are just blah white bread in the shape of a bun.

In a rare incident of plain speaking a prominent tech executive has put a damper on all those bright hopes and dreams a class of young hopeful college college students cherish. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang told Stanford students their high expectations for themselves may make it hard for them to be very successful.

Face the hard facts, there are more bricklayers, garbage men and retail clerks than there are Einstein’s, Beyonce’s and Rockefellers. Curtail your ambitions, the world has a need for the calloused hand hod carrier, the pleasant barista and the knowledgeable mechanic. Not banging ones’ head against the glass ceilings permits the enjoyment of seeing a different set of stars.

On second thought, why not strive for greatness, words like Huang’s will thin out the herd and make reaching those lofty goals easier.
