Trust AI,
AI, Trust It or Bust It

What happens when the machines go down the rabbit hole? Set upon a task, but encouraged to test every viable option, AI loosed with few constraints may steer itself into places it shouldn’t venture. Omit the dire prophesies and consider only those of less hurtful consequences where a machine creates a solution unique in its coupling of widely disparite diciplines that provide an answer so far afield it seems irrelevant to the original question. (i.e. – chat gpt is asked to solve the problem of fuel to air ratio efficiencies in standard internal combustion engines and it obliquely suggests a chromosomal change in a species of widely grown bamboo. Its reasoning having led it to the conjecture that…… , well it is artificial intelligence following whatever tangents it deems germain so it is not for us to follow the intricate paths of its logic , we are only to verify its results. What if, long story short, internal combution engines were truly significantly improved by a long convoluted chain of events that began with altering the genes of bambusoideae? Do we then trust the process? Do you actually know how your cell phone works, your toilet, your car? Trust AI, trust every link in the golden chains that spill from Pandora’s treasure box or begin with the primitive wheel you craft on your own and build upon it a new, equally unfathomable world for others to doubt.
Ai, it’s what’s for breakfast!
